Its that time of year again where our children may have their First Communion or Confirmation approaching soon.

This is our fourth year in a row with a communion or confirmation in the family including one year when we had both so it can be a fairly expensive time

especially when you have to dress all the rest of the family too.  Its a very special time in a child’s life though particularly since they spend many months preparing for this special day…spiritually on the inside and of course what to wear on the day. These are key moments in their lives and its also a great opportunity to have the family portraits taken. Everyone is dressed up and in good spirits.

Here at the studio we have many packages to suit all types of budgets and timelines. From a mini portrait session to a deluxe portrait session. These packages include the sitting and prints and some include framing also. You can also be accommodated in the studio on a separate day to your event if it suits you better.

Of course outdoor portrait sessions can work really well too providing its not raining. These are a personal favourite of mine.

Afterwards there are many choices in ways to display your imagery and we can advise you here in the studio. Fine art images can be displayed using bespoke framing, canvases and acrylics. What better way to preserve those special memories.

Christmas is almost up0n us and as the song says its the most wonderful time of the year. The children are really excited. School holidays are nearly here and of course they can’t wait for the arrival of Santa. The studio has been really busy in the last few weeks.  Lots of portraits being done, many of which are surprise gifts for Parents, Grandparents and even Spouses! It gives me great pleasure to capture those special memories for my customers and of course these images will be treasured forever and passed down through to their families. Pictured here is seven month old Luke who visited the studio with his Mum. We had loads of fun especially since Luke loves to have his picture taken! There are lots of other gift ideas here at the studio as well for example Handmade Wexford Cards, Wexford Landscape images, Gift Frames and of course Gift Vouchers which can be used for any occassion. For the month of December you can purchase a gift voucher for €130 at a cost of €100 so thats a saving of €30. The voucher has no expiry date and can be used for all the services that BlueBell Studio offers with the exception of Digital Photography classes and courses. For further information, why not give me a call (087 6363960) or drop me an email ( And speaking of Digital Photography Classes  the next round of Beginners Digital Photography Classes commence on Tuesday 14th January 2014 with a morning session or an evening session to choose from. Intermediate classes are starting on Thursday 16th January 2014. Of course if you would prefer, private classes are also available. Wexford Food Festival is nearly upon us so we had another photo shoot to promote the “Fast to a Feast” Cooking Demonstration taking place in The Ferrycarrig Hotel on Wednesday 22nd May as part of the Festival.

We had great fun doing this ” heavenly” shoot as you can see from the photographs. Pictured are Rev. Arthur Minion who will be mentored by Phelim Byrne and Fr. Jim Fegan who will be mentored by Tony Carty. George Lawlor is the host on the night. I’m sure there will be plenty of prayers said on the night..really looking forward to this ..well if the photo shoot is anything to go on it should be a great, fun night.

Wexford Food Festival 2013 Wexford Food Festival 2013 Wexford Food Festival 2013

Wexford Food Festival will here soon. This will be the fifth Food & Wine Festival and it runs from Friday 25th to Sunday 26th May.

New to the 2013 line up in this, the Year of the Gathering will be our neighbours from Wales as a number of Specialist Food Producers will be attending in the “Welsh Tent” to be located on South Main Street. Stena line are offering 30% off many of their fares to help people get to the Wexford Festival. We had a P.R. shoot at 7.30am in Rosslare Harbour last week to promote the Stena Line offer. Unfortunately the weather was just awful but we were escorted onto the Bridge and got to do the shoot there. I was very surprised at the size of the wheel. It was much smaller than I expected!

Pictured here are Jeanette from Blossom Bakes with her specially designed Stena Line cake being serenaded by Ferrycarrig Hotel Head Chef (Singing Chef) Tony Carty.

Jacinta edit 2

Pregnancy can be one of the most beautiful times in a woman’s life and is a memory worth capturing forever. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph Jacinta who is seven months pregnant. This is probably the best time to have maternity photos taken. For these shots I went to Jacinta’s home which made the shots more personal for her. Red is her favourite colour so we made the most of the white decor by draping her in red chiffon.

Wexford Light Opera Society ~ Witches of Eastwick 2013

Congratulations to Wexford Light Opera Society on yet another wonderful production. This one I think will be long remembered
as its so much fun, a little bit devilish, so colourful, wonderful music and lighting and of course wonderful players. A perfect combination for getting the dress rehearsal photos yesterday. Wishing all the cast and crew a great run with the show and I’m looking forward to seeing it again tomorrow night and Saturday night! Break a Leg!
