Pregnancy can be one of the most beautiful times in a woman’s life and is a memory worth capturing forever. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph Jacinta who is seven months pregnant. This is probably the best time to have maternity photos taken. For these shots I went to Jacinta’s home which made the shots more personal for her. Red is her favourite colour so we made the most of the white decor by draping her in red chiffon.
Congratulations to Wexford Light Opera Society on yet another wonderful production. This one I think will be long remembered
as its so much fun, a little bit devilish, so colourful, wonderful music and lighting and of course wonderful players. A perfect combination for getting the dress rehearsal photos yesterday. Wishing all the cast and crew a great run with the show and I’m looking forward to seeing it again tomorrow night and Saturday night! Break a Leg!
April is always a busy month as along with Happy Faces Day is the Wexford Light Opera Society’s annual musical production. This year the group bring us
“The Witches of Eastwick”. Highly entertaining, hilarious and a little bit naughty this is a fun filled show with really lovely music. I was lucky enough to get down to rehearsals
last Sunday to get some images. It also gives me a flavour of the show for when I go to photograph the Dress Rehearsal in a couple of weeks.
Happy Faces Day has just finished at BlueBell Studio and what a busy day it was.Twenty five children and adults had their photo taken for Happy Faces Day and with more donations still to come in, it has been a very successful day. I was especially lucky to have friends and neighbour meet and greet clients at the studio on the day and fill out the paperwork.
The atmosphere was great too. Everyone was relaxed, teas and coffees in abundance not to mention the gorgeous mini cupcakes that my daughter Caitlin made. Plenty of sweets and balloons too for the kids.
Well Happy Faces Day is drawing close. This morning we had a photo shoot in the studio to promote Happy Faces Day which is a fundraiser for the Jack & Jill Foundation. Billy Walsh our National Boxing Trainer and Lee Chin an up and coming dual sports star came along to the shoot to lend their support to this very worthy cause. I was very honoured to meet Pauline and her son Tadgh who are beneficiaries of The Jack and Jill Foundation. Tadgh who is fourteen months old was born with severe brain damage and has a short life expectancy. Pauline told me that a Jack and Jill nurse stays with Tadgh every night and how they would be lost without the assistance they receive from the Jack and Jill Foundation. Hearing other peoples experiences just makes you want to work harder for this foundation and photograph as many happy faces as you can.
For a donation of €25 to the Jack and Jill foundation have your mini portrait session at BlueBell Studio and receive a 5″x7″ print in a Happy Faces Day presentation folder. All monies raised in Wexford is used to support local Wexford families.
